SIERRA

"Sierra" loves life. So she should, it was nearly taken from her in her second year when a pregnancy went wrong. She lost her litter and our Vet struggled to save her, he didn't think she would pull through. We took her home at 10.00pm, put her on our bed with heat pads round her and wrapped up in a quilt. Every fifteen minutes for the next twelve hours we took it in turns to sit with her for five minutes or so, talking to her and giving her fluids by syringe straight down her throat. She didn't have the strength to swallow at first but through the night she warmed up and started to pull through.

After this event Sierra was a different dog, we hadn't let her down and she wasn't going to let us down. She is a character, a very vocal dog, always wanting attention which is evident in the show ring. She loves to perform and is a pleasure to show, her movement round the ring is effortless, both for dog & handler.
